My passion for photography manifested itself later on in my life. The camera was the vehicle that drove me towards the path of expressing my childhood artistic talents by creating magnificent subjects in one of my favorite cities - New York. New York City is one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in the world; a medley of multi-culturalism, an epicurean’s delight, a culture lover’s paradise, and a superlative artists’ canvas of brilliant colors, textures, and reflections. So, it is no small wonder that my excursions throughout this marvelous town have been the subject for so many of my images. One of my first solo exhibits in 2012 entitled “New York City Reflections” was inspired by the breathtaking window displays at Bergdorf Goodman: whimsical creatures and mannequins reflecting off the glass, intermingling with the NYC skyscrapers and pedestrians. My most recent NYC photo project was focused on one of the most challenging years in our history - 2020. I revisited some of my favorite iconic NYC venues, put on my best rose-colored glasses, made “lemonade out of lemons” and published a photographic book appropriately entitled “NY Tough.” The book was dedicated to all of us Tough New Yorkers and is available on this website.
